New books lists on Bruno website
The Bruno Library's book collection continues to grow at a rapid pace. New books are placed in a special area on the ground floor of the library, where users can browse the latest titles. Book jackets of new books received are displayed in a large case in that area. And every month a list of the most significant new books received in the previous month is posted on the Bruno Library's website.

To see the new books list, go to the Bruno Library's website at http://brunolib.cba.ua.edu and click on the New Books link in the gray bar near the bottom of the screen. The new books lists for the previous twelve months are available for your viewing. The lists are given in call number order, which serves to group books on similar topics together. You can also use your browser's "Find" function (within in the Edit menu) to search for books with particular words or phrases in their entries. For example, use the Find function to search for all entries with the phrase "supply chain" or the name "Fabozzi."

New service: email notification
Need to be reminded to check the new books list every month? As a new service to our users, we will notify you by email that a new list has been posted on the website. Just use the handy form on our website to request that your name be added to the notification list. The email will contain a link to connect you to the latest list. (And we won't use this list for any other purpose!)

New books lists for other UA libraries
You can also use an automated service to find out what books have been added to the other members of the University Libraries. Go to the Libraries' Catalog. On the opening screen, click on "New Books" in the lower left corner. Or, within the catalog at any search screen, click on the tab that says "New Books." Choose the location, time period, and sort order that you prefer, then click on the Search button. Note that the resulting list is an automated product based on the most recent date an item was processed; it might contain some items that are not really new if their records have been updated recently, and it might contain other items that are still in process and not yet available to check out. You might also be interested in investigating the RSS feed offered by the University Libraries for this same list. Just click on the handy link for instructions.

For more information about the new book list, please contact Karen Chapman at kchapman@bruno.cba.ua.edu or 348-1096.
